Happy Mother's Day!

As it's Mother's Day, I thought I would write a post all about my beautiful mum!

My mum is probably one of the most, caring, loving and selfless human beings you could meet! 

Not only has she hosted EVERY Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day every year since I can remember, she also has family/friends over ALL the time!

I appreciate everything that my mum does for me, whether that being from making me lunch for work - yes, I'm 24 and my mum still occasionally makes me lunch! - laughing at ridiculous comments I make, helping me deal with my problems or a shoulder to cry on. I know that no matter what, she will always be there for me and my sister!

I would say that my relationship with my mum is very very strong! We get on, and I tell her everything - I still call her occasionally for her advice when I want to buy something! - which is funny because half the girls I know my age are mums! 

Mother's Day is a day we all show our love and appreciation for our mums, by buying them gifts and treating them for the day, however you should really show this everyday, and buying your mum flowers every now and again would probably make her day! 

A couple of years ago, my mum had to undergo major surgery which left her in hospital for a week and unable to do normal day to day activities. This meant she had to rely on my dad, myself and sister for help, which is not in my mums comfort zone!

Being a beauty therapist, I offered to treat my mum before she went into hospital, to an LVL Lash Lift. This really made a difference for her, as it meant her eyes looked awake after surgery and looked as though she had mascara on, when in fact she didn't! Everyone kept saying how well she looked after surgery because of it! 

So last weekend I treated her to the same treatment again, and she loved it!

I can't even begin to explain how thankful and lucky I am to have such an amazing mum!

Skincare Products I Swear By!

Recently, I have been asked quite a few times about my skincare routine.

So what better way than to write a post for you all to read!?

I don't really tend to use anything posh or overpriced, and I will explain why throughout this post.

It's not often that I wear eye makeup unless its for an occasion or I'm in the mood to wear it, so there is no need for me to use an eye makeup remover.

I do not wear mascara as it irritates my eyes, so I have the LVL Lash Lift done which is perfect for me.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

This cleanser is the best one I have ever used! I use this morning and evening. I recently stayed away from home for 10 nights and didn't take this with me - biggest mistake ever made! - so I used a Decléor cleanser which my skin hated! Within a few days my skin was very greasy and I started to break out!

When I returned home I obviously threw it in the bin, started using my Dermalogica cleanser again, and made a promise to myself that I'd never change my cleanser again!

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

I bought this purely because so many people were raving about it, and I'm very glad I did.

The tub is quite small, but a little goes a long way and it will last you ages! 

The cream is really hydrating under your eyes, you can actually feel it doing its job the moment you apply it. 

Superdrug Vitamin E Day Cream 

I have been using this cream since I was about 16! I have tried using higher end brands such as Dermalogica and Decléor but they just don't do the job I'm after!

I like this cream because it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy after, and it has SPF15 in!

My makeup goes on so nicely after using this.

Superdrug Vitamin E Night Cream  

I like to use a night cream as your skin is most active at night time.

This cream is really good also, as again, its not greasy and leaves my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. I really recommend using a night cream.

eos Smooth Sphere Summer Fruit Lip Balm

I'm very prone to getting dry/chapped lips and its SO frustrating and sore! I bought this whilst on holiday in a CVS store because my lips were so sore, and I obviously forgot my other lip balm from home. I find this lip balm is the most moisturising one I've used and actually works - it helps they taste yummy too! - they do lots of different flavours.

That's it! That is all I really need to use.
