Afternoon At The Hairdressers

Richard Browns Hairdressers!

After having blonde hair for years, I decided a few months ago I wanted a change!

So I decided to go for the Ombré look!

Whenever I got my hair done I always had 2 different tones of blonde put through so it looked well blended when it did start to grow out!

I thought instead of dying my hair dark and then having the ombré done, I would instead grow out my blonde hair and then have it blended through once it got to the right length!

Here is what my hair looked like before! A bit of a mess!

You can see quite clearly where the growth is, but at the same time it does look slightly blended! Just not as blended as I want!

My hairdresser has been doing my hair for years now so he knows exactly what I like and dislike!

For me, he is literally the BEST hairdresser I have ever had! He listens to what you want and advices you what would look good and what wouldn't!

So it begins...

Once all the colours were put on, it was time for me to wait with my cup of tea!

The salon is so beautiful with the most amazing decor!

In particular, I absolutely LOVE the mirrors! 

They also have a fireplace in the section I was in with a fabulous deers head above it! Its so pretty! 

After waiting for the colours to take, it was then time to have it all washed out! (my favourite part)

THE FINISHED LOOK!...

My hair was washed and blow dried!

AND VOILA..

I am so happy with it!

You can see from the before photo how much darker my hair was!

Its blended through so much better and its a lot lighter than before!

Beauty Advent Calendars!

Christmas Prep!

With it only being 50 days until Christmas, I sit here and think to myself "where on earth has this year gone!? Last Christmas only seemed as though it was 5 minutes ago!"

I have to say, I absolutely love Christmas time and all the festive events that take place!

However, some of you may be thinking why I'm doing a Christmas related blog so early before Christmas!? And I shall tell you why!

This advent calendar is perfect for you men out there with those big beards! Behind every door there is a different scented oil to keep your beard looking and smelling amazing!

There are so so many other beauty related advent calendars out there, these are just the ones that I think look really cute and are worth the money!

Beauty Products!

Macbook delivery!

Today my Macbook was delivered, so I decided today was the day to start my blog. 

I haven't really been up to much over the past 2 weeks as I have been suffering with Labyrinthitis (which is not pleasant). It is slowly easing off but I am having to take it very easy!

I haven't been able to work with it which is a pain!

Although I have been house bound I have managed to get some new beauty products!

Lets talk moisturisers!!

HANDS!

Decleor Paris Voyage À Madagascar Hand Wash & Cream

The hand wash smells amazing! It's so fresh and so soapy, so you feel like your hands are really being cleaned!

The hand cream is also very nice! It has a lovely scent to it, not too strong! You don't have to use too much as a little goes a long way, but its very moisturising! I highly recommend it!

BODY/FACE!

I also HAVE to moisturise after every bath/shower! For me, theres nothing better than Palmers Cocoa Butter! It's very moisturising and of course, it smells fabulous right!?

I never use it on my face however as I feel its much to thick and oily!

For my face I use Superdrugs own eye cream, and their day and night cream! For me, I find these are the best moisturisers for my face as they do not make me break out! I have tried so many expensive creams and they just do not agree with me!

LIPS!

I always tend to get very dry and chapped lips! They can get quite sore! I have tried so many different lip balms and just couldn't find one that worked! Until one of the girls at work told me about Blistex! The one which she used was one that made your lips tingle! I'm not actually a fan of lip balms that do this! It wasn't until I was in chemist looking for makeup sponges that I saw this! ..

Blistex Classic Lip Protector! Its absolutely fantastic! I probably do not use it as much as i should but when I do it really does work! If you get sore, dry lips, then I recommend you purchase this!
